Pedro
Celebrates his goal at the Molineux
The
FA Cup fifth round tie at the Molineux Stadium was a classic as the hosts
matched the former Premier League champions in every department and would have
taken the lead as early as the 5th minute when George Saville hit the wood
work.
It
was a midfield affair in the first 45 minutes as both teams sought for the
opener to no avail.
Chelsea
ran riot right from the start of the second half and were obviously the better
side before the home side crumbled in the 65th minute when Pedro headed home
from close-range.
Diego
Costa wrapped it up in style with a brilliant strike in the box to earn Antonio
Conte’s side a deserved quarter-final berth.
Meanwhile,
the most surprising result of the day came from Lincoln FC which knocked out
Premier League side Burnley out of the competition.
Sean
Raggett scored the stunner one minute from time to earn his side a
quarter-final slot.
